Parental Involvement

As a child spends most of his/her time growing up in a school, SIS encourages parental involvement at all levels.  Their involvement in the child’s school can be complementary and enriching.  The school warmly welcomes parents’ support in expertise and resources.  This can be done on a regular basis or intermittently for special events.  We encourage parents to become involved in any way that suits their time.

Involvement may include but not limited to any of the following activities.

• Serve as an active member of Parent Support Group (PSG).
• Serve as a Class Parent
• Serve as a volunteer ie library, CCA, Reading Buddies, concerts, field trip, etc
• Share expertise in a particular field with the class or other parents through talks, workshops or seminars
• Come and support school events and functions, even when their child is not performing or participating.
