Selamat datang di SIS Medan!

I’m thrilled to be returning to the Singapore International School family as the incoming Head Teacher of SIS Medan. After 3 years in leadership roles with SIS Semarang, I returned to the United States in 2009 to earn my Master’s degree at Harvard University. Upon graduation, I jumped at the opportunity to return to SIS Medan because of my confidence that we are among the very top schools in Indonesia.

At SIS Medan, the education and well-being of our students drives everything we do. Although we’re proud of our students’ outstanding academic achievements in our rigorous trilingual curriculum, and on both internationally and nationally recognized examinations, these are only one component of a SIS education.

Complementary to our Academics, we place equal emphasis on our students’ Social, Aesthetic and Physical development. By promoting leadership development, values education, creative project work, music and the arts, and a wide range of athletics, we’re preparing our students to be dynamic contributors to both their local and international communities. If you stop by to visit us on a school day, you’ll find students not only studying hard in our classrooms, but also actively engaged around our campuses rehearsing performances, playing sports, and working in teams designing projects and conducting experiments.

Measureable accountability is a priority at SIS Medan. To ensure that our students are stretched to reach their full potential, it is essential that we hold every member of the SIS community responsible for their development. This means that in addition to setting high standards for our students and teachers, we also develop ambitious goals for our parents and community partners who provide support to our students.
